In short
- No cookies, no Google Analytics or other third-party analytics.
- IP addresses are not stored; nothing is stored in your browser for statistics.
- Fonts and images are served from our own server – no Google Fonts.
- Raw statistics are deleted after 14 months.
Hosting
Hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany, under a data processing agreement. The host processes technically necessary log data (IP address, time, page, user agent) to run the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Statistics via flashferry.com
Visitor statistics are run by our sister site flashferry.com (same controller) with a self-hosted, cookieless system. Pages of one visit are linked by a code the server derives from IP address and browser with a secret that changes daily, so you are not recognised on later days. We record pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, load time, click positions (no form input), device type, browser, operating system, screen size, language, referring page and campaign tags. For a rough location (country/region) the IP address is sent to ip-api.com at the time of the visit (processing outside the EU possible); only the result is stored. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Timetable and fare data
Our server loads sailings and fares from the flashferry.com archive. No data about you is transmitted.
Booking links and price search
Booking links lead to Direct Ferries and contain a partner ID; the click is counted via flashferry.com. The details you enter in the price search stay in your browser until you tap “Show prices”; then your browser sends them directly to Direct Ferries (Direct Ferries Ltd., United Kingdom), whose privacy policy applies from then on. We do not store them.
Places to stay (Stay22)
On the accommodation pages our server loads accommodation data from Stay22 (Stay22 Technologies Inc., Montréal, Canada) without transmitting data about you. Links lead to Stay22, which forwards you with a partner ID to providers such as Booking.com. Accommodation photos are loaded by your browser from Booking.com servers. The Stay22 map loads only after you click “Load accommodation map”, which sends data (including your IP address) to Stay22.
Language
If you open the German home page and your browser is set to Finnish or another language, the server sends you once to the Finnish or English version, based on the language setting your browser transmits. Nothing is stored and no cookie is set.
Short survey
From time to time a voluntary short survey by flashferry.com (same controller) may appear. We store your answers, language, page, device type and visit code – no name, email or IP address. Only after you answer or close it does your browser remember in local storage that it is done.
Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR) and may complain to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Last updated: 23 October 2026.
